We all know that layouts, including text layouts are a large part of the zine world and maybe one of the most individual characteristics that defines the zine world. Technically, you can make do with most anything for a layout, even something as simple as an Arial header and line separating the columnns. But I ask you, why do that when more artistic, devoted methods appear to work much nicer? When I first sat down to make my first text layout, I was overwhelmed. I didn't know where to start. Since then, I have come up with my own list of five deadly sins, that in my opinion, no one should ever commit while making a text layout.
